Petrol prices Expected to Increase From 16 Jan 2025

After the consecutive reliefs, petroleum prices are expected to rise from 16th Jan 2025, Petrol prices in Pakistan are expected to increase, as the price of Petrol is likely to go up by Rs. 5.50 to Rs. 6.50, HSD by Rs .3, and kerosene oil by Rs. 2 respectively.

The rise in petroleum product prices is subjected to the international petrol prices which show a price increase per barrel in premium by Kuwait Petroleum Company (KPC) and increasing demand for petroleum products by the world’s biggest economies like the United States and China.

The petroleum industry had already submitted a working paper to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) highlighting the required price adjustments. OGRA is set to review and determine the new fuel prices based on global market trends on January 15. The price of petroleum will be applied from 16th January 2025. After the final approval of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Ministry of Finance will then issue a formal notification.
